On August 25, 2026, Special Envoy for Pacific Island Countries Affairs of the Chinese Government Qian Bo met in Beijing with Speaker of the Congress of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) T.H. Esmond B. Moses, who is leading a delegation to participate in the FSM Legislators Seminar, as well as other participants of the seminar. Qian Bo briefed the guests on China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, shared the successful experience of the Communist Party of China in governance, and introduced China’s foreign policy towards Pacific Island Countries. The two sides also had in-depth and friendly exchanges on issues of mutual concern.
