Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Zhang Maoming Attends the Handover Ceremony for the Second Batch of China-Aid Emergency Relief Supplies to Nepal
At around 5:30 p.m. local time on September 1, 2026, the second batch of China-aid emergency relief supplies arrived at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, aboard a Y-20 large transport aircraft of the PLA Air Force of China. Five DNA identification experts, as the third batch of Chinese aid experts to Nepal, also arrived on the same flight.
H. E. Mr. Zhang Maoming, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, and Honourable Mr. Mahabir Pun, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation of Nepal, attended the handover ceremony for the relief supplies, and welcomed the Chinese experts.
The relief supplies are provided based on Nepal's actual needs， including items in urgent demand, such as drones, DNA testing instruments and reagents, water purification equipment, and lighting devices. Upon arrival, the Chinese DNA identification experts will immediately head to the front line of the disaster areas to assist the Nepalese side in their work.
