Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus Yang Yundong Meets with Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection of Cyprus Nicholas Ioannides

On 1 September, Ambassador of China to Cyprus Yang Yundong met with Deputy Minister of Migration and International Protection of Cyprus Nicholas Ioannides.

Ambassador Yang noted that in the context of the sound  growth of the China-Cyprus relationship, the Chinese side is ready to step up exchanges and cooperation with the migration authorities of Cyprus. He pointed out that the Chinese side encourages the Chinese community in Cyprus to get actively integrated into the local society, and contribute to the economic and social development of Cyprus. He also expressed the hope that the Cypriot side will continue to provide robust protection to their legitimate rights and interests.

Deputy Minister Ioannides spoke highly of China-Cyprus relations, and expressed willingness to deepen cooperation with the Chinese side. He also said that the Chinese community’s important contribution to Cyprus’ economic and social development is much appreciated, and the Cypriot side is ready to extend all necessary assistance to their work and life in Cyprus.
