Chinese Ambassador to PNG Yang Xiaoguang Attends Handover Ceremony of disaster relief Supplies Donated by Guizhou Province to Milne Bay Province
On September 11, H.E. Yang Xiaoguang, Chinese Ambassador to PNG, attended the handover ceremony of disaster relief supplies donated by Guizhou Province to Milne Bay Province. Governor of Milne Bay, Hon. Gordon Wesley, officials from the provincial government and representatives of local Chinese community also attended the event.

Ambassador Yang reviewed the recent exchanges between Guizhou Province and Milne Bay Province and said that China and PNG are good friends, good partners, and good brothers. The relief supplies provided by Guizhou Province will assist Milne Bay Province in its post-disaster reconstruction following Tropical Cyclone Maila and help improve the lives of local residents. This year marks the 50th anniversary of China-PNG diplomatic relations. The Chinese side stands ready to work hand in hand with the PNG side to promote the China-PNG comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights.

Governor Wesley expressed gratitude for the significant assistance provided by Guizhou Province and thanked China for its long-standing support to the economic and social development of PNG. He said PNG looks forward to deepening cooperation in various fields and further advance China-PNG relations.
