Acting Chinese Consul General in Auckland Wang Junchao Attends Mid-Autumn Festival at the University of Auckland

On 25 September, Acting Consul General Wang Junchao attended the Mid-Autumn Festival at the University of Auckland. Director of the International Office of the University of Auckland Martin Hookham-Simms, along with about 400 faculty members and students, participated in the event.

In his remarks, Wang noted that Chinese culture has become an important part of New Zealand's multicultural society, and that people-to-people and cultural exchanges have continued to bring the two peoples closer. He expressed the hope that Chinese students and local young people will deepen mutual understanding and learn from each other through various cultural activities, strive to serve as civilian envoys of China-New Zealand friendship, and inject youthful strength into the long-term development of bilateral relations.

The event was hosted by Auckland University Students' Association (AUSA). Cultural activities such as Chinese calligraphy and Hanfu try-on were featured at the event. The Chinese Consulate-General's booth offered Mid-Autumn Festival quizzes and mooncakes, attracting many faculty members and students to participate and interact.
