Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai Hosts China-India Youth Mid-Autumn Festival Cultural Exchange Event

On September 25, the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Chinese Consulate General in Mumbai hosted a China-India youth cultural exchange event celebrating the festival, attended by around 30 Indian students of the Chinese language. Consul General Qin Jie attended the event and delivered remarks.

Mr. Qin said that this year's Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival coincided with the Indian of Ganesh Chaturthi, with both celebrations symbolizing harvest and fulfillment. He emphasized that in the face of changing global dynamics and turbulence, President Xi Jinping put forward the four Global Initiatives. Recently, while attending the 18th BRICS Summit, President Xi also put forward a series of important proposals, which will continue to drive world peace and development as well as the steady advancement of China-India relations. Qin pointed out that today's event is a reflection of civilization exchanges between China and India. He expressed hope that the young friends would study Chinese well and serve as envoys of friendly exchanges between the two countries.

The attendees watched the animated film Chang'an, tasted Chinese cuisine and mooncakes, and experienced the beauty of traditional Chinese culture amidst a rich festive atmosphere.
